She would love to herd the cows, but to her dismay they come when
called! She would also love to herd the bulls, but there aren’t any,
so instead she has to busy herself with balls, and logs, and chasing
bugs! |
BULLS
Bulls – We have none! All our cows are
A.I. bred or carry embryos. We do not use bulls. A.I. allows us
rapid genetic improvement, is easier on the facilities, and
eliminates the problem with sexually transmitted diseases. We try to
match our cows with bulls that produce calves that are born
unassisted, vigorous at birth, excellent gain on minimal input,
fabulous temperament, excellent fertility, structurally sound and
pleasing to look at! Most of the time we do just that!
